Despite its roots Mexican Mana owes much more to pop and rock to Latin rhythms of artists like Ricky Martin. The band's unique sound and clever production helped them recruit a legion of acolytes in his home country until years later reached international recognition. This initial popularity and burgeoning commercial industry in Mexico helped them to cross borders and reach a greater volume of public.
Where the children play? , the band's second album, while offering catchy melodies and lyrics with a political message. One of the main hooks of the group was the voice of the singer, Fher, so common to the Anglo-Saxon way of singing often has been compared to Sting. In this record the vocal work is divided between him and drummer Alex. The album title continues to be a social awareness also highlights important aspects of her music and rhythm. The message I try to convey is to not ruin the planet so that future also generations to enjoy.
The side that definitely helped sell the album was the live band, as already began to show in the late 1980's. Where the children play? remained for 97 consecutive weeks on the list of 50 best-selling albums by Latin music magazine Billboard , reaching number four and became, arguably, the band's final album.
